Problem: ABC knew they had a hit with this inner city school comedy and wanted it stand out amongst all the aliens and superheroes.

As the son of a 2nd grade teacher and growing up with not a lot, working on Abbot Elementary was a dream come true. We wanted to give fans an experience that was just as fun, funny, touching and eye-opening as the show itself. So we recreated the school and filled with actors as plucky as Janine Teagues herself, all excited to host "new teacher orientation." Every attendee was welcomed as a teacher for the upcoming school year. From the facade to the locker-lined hallway to the principal's office to the classroom to the school gym, our performers gave them a tour, charming them and giving insights into their favorite show. On top of that, we had a school bus lounge, easter eggs galore, pop quizzes in the classroom and a step crew in the gymnasium. And lines around the block!
